Vine finally hits Android (pictures)
We take a look at the long-awaited video-sharing app now available for Android.
Welcome to Vine
Once you create an account, head to your profile to find Vine users to follow.
Explore Vine
See how others are using Vine on the Explore screen. There's also a link to Editor's Picks, where you can see a curated collection of short videos.
No search?
Right now, the Search button leads you to tools for inviting friends via SMS or e-mail. Without a normal search tool, it can be difficult to find other specific users to follow.
Home feed
As you scroll through your Home feed, videos play automatically while they're onscreen. This makes for a seamless and enjoyable experience.
Unique recording interface
Vine records only while you're touching the screen. This means you can tap quickly, let go, move to another scene, and tap again to record. This can make for some really creative 6-second cuts.
Ready to publish
After recording, you can add a caption and share to Twitter, as well as to Vine's network.
