The HTC Ozone is Verizon Wireless' version of the HTC Snap. The Windows Mobile smartphone is available now for just $49.99 with a two-year contract, making it quite the deal compared to its T-Mobile and Sprint counterparts.
With its full QWERTY keyboard, it's no surprise the Ozone is geared toward messaging. However, we're disappointed that HTC's Inner Circle feature (for better e-mail management) was not included.
Other highlights of the phone include world roaming capabilities, Wi-Fi, GPS, and 3G support.
The Ozone features a 2.4-inch QVGA display that shows 64,000 colors at a 320x240-pixel resolution. It's bright and clear, though not as sharp or as large as we'd like.
We prefer the navigation controls of the T-Mobile Dash 3G, but the Ozone's full QWERTY keyboard is pretty easy use and includes shortcuts to your in-box and communication manager.
Unfortunately, like HTC's other smartphones, the Ozone doesn't come equipped with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. However, an audio adapter is included in the sale package so you can still use your favorite headphones/earbuds with the smartphone. The mini USB port also doubles as the power connector.
