LAS VEGAS -- Meet the Typo for iPad Air and iPad Mini. These are cases paired with a detachable Bluetooth keyboard, and while the $179 price tag seems a bit steep, the product is shaping up rather nicely. UK and Australian details weren't announced but the US price converts to roughly £120 or AU$220.
We checked them out here at the 2015 International CES -- see all CNET's coverage here.
The case comes in two sizes to fit all models of the iPad Air and iPad Mini, and both variants pack full-size keys.
The units I saw were still preproduction prototypes so things are likely to change. But the full-size keys are roomy and comfortable, and make for fast, relatively error-free typing.
The Bluetooth keyboard attaches by way of magnets. The keys are rather shallow, which is to be expected, given how thin the keyboard is.
The flexible friction stand unfolds from the back of the case, and can prop your tablet up at a variety of angles.
