This GE range costs $1,000, and its performance is as good as the price
The GE JGB700SEJSS gas range is a consistent cooker with a reasonable price. Here's how it did in our cooking tests.

The oven doesn't have a convection roast feature. Instead, the user manual recommends cooking a whole chicken on the regular baking mode. The chicken came out fine, but it wasn't as good as other chickens I've cooked on the convection roast mode.

GE claimed on the product page for this range that the griddle can fit six grilled cheese sandwiches. The manufacturer was right.

The photos on the left show two racks of biscuits that were baked at the same time (the biscuits in the top left photo baked on a higher rake than the ones in the bottom left photo). The color renderings on the right reflect how brown each biscuit became during baking. There were some hot spots in the bottom left and right corners of the oven, and one long hot strip near the top of the oven.

I broiled six hamburger patties and measured how long it took each of the patties to reach 145 degrees Fahrenheit. The burgers that cooked in the front center and front right cooked faster than the other patties.
