Xandem Home will use a radio wave mesh to monitor your house. If people disrupt the radio signals, the system can triangulate their position and alert users.

Installation, according to CEO Joey Wilson, can take as little as 15 minutes.

You can sketch your home layout on the Xandem Home app, then estimate the locations of the nodes you placed around the house. No need to be exact, according to developers.

A central hub will send information from the nodes to the mobile app, which can alert owners to a break-in, or simply turn on the lights. It all depends on how you want to use the system.

The motion detection is based on communication between the nodes using radio waves, so visual obstructions aren't an issue like they are for traditional motion detectors.
