The Toshiba Excite X10 and its dealings with direct sunlight (photos)
Pictures of the Toshiba Excite X10 demonstrate why the aluminium-encased tablet doesn't photograph the best in direct sunlight. Yes, I'm blaming the tablet. What?
From the front
Here you can see the 2-megapixel camera in the top middle. You also get a feeling of just how glossy the 10.1-inch screen is. Also, although the unit we demoed ran Honeycomb 3.2, it's unclear whether the release version will run Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich.
My eyes!!
Wow! That's the magnesium alloy backside reflecting tons of sunlight right into your eyes! Hey, at least you didn't have to deal with this in person. My eyes are still recovering.
Thin with ports
The X10 is thin, but to its credit, Toshiba still made room for a good assortment of ports. No full-size ports, though. From left to right, we see a headphone jack, Micro-USB, Micro-HDMI, and a microSD card slot.
Just as thin
Yep, just as thin on the right side.
Because it's thin, people
Have we mentioned the tablet's thinness? OK, OK, even I'm tired of talking about it now.
A better look
OK, fine. Here's a much better look at the X10's magnesium alloy backside. Happy now?
