Problems
I'd be a lot more forgiving to the Toshiba Excite Pro if it didn't cost $500. At that price, its performance issues are pretty unforgivable and I'd caution anyone thinking of buying one to hold off until Toshiba addresses its problems.
Not exactly thin
The Excite Pro isn't what you'd call a thin tablet, but its not altogether fat or heavy, either.
The trinity
The holy trinity of tablet ports: microSD, Micro-HDMI, and Micro-USB.
Fast games
Thanks to its Tegra 4, games run great on the Excite Pro, but come nowhere near the performance of the Nvidia Shield.
Texture
The textured back does little to improve the tablet's grip, but makes it feel a bit more durable than without it. Probably.
Sharp camera
The 8-megapixel back camera is a rare pleasant surprise among most tablet cameras. It takes sharp, colorful pics.
Volume
The Harman Kardon speakers get loud. Really loud, but still exude a bit too much tinny-ness for my ears.
