The Samsung SyncMaster S23A750D sits still for a bit (photos)

The Samsung SyncMaster S23A750D is definitely an interesting-looking display.

Glasses and monitor

The S23A750D's panel is typical stylish Samsung. The foot stand, not so much.

Straight ahead

Here you can get a clearer picture of the foot stand's shape. It's a little weird.

This and sleek

The S23A750D is quite thin and, thanks to the foot stand's metal enclosure, looks pretty sleek from the side.

The back

No VESA support, but you do get a glossy, reflective backside. Is that not the same thing?

Huh. Um...huh.

Aesthetically, the S23A750's foot stand is quite the odd fellow, and its button responsiveness leaves a lot to be desired. I'd say it's back to the drawing board for this design.

"Reflective" is an understatement

We chose to focus on the monitor for this shot, but don't be fooled: reflections show up clearly on the screen.

Connecting with connections

Here (clockwise from the upper left) lie the power input, headphone jack, HDMI port, and DisplayPort.

We don't need no stinking scratches

See those scratches below the DisplayPort uh, port? An unfortunate consequence of a lapse in design judgment.
