The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (Verizon Wireless) opens its ports (pictures)

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (Verizon Wireless) features quite a different color scheme compared to the original's stark white. I'd say that's reason enough for some new pics.

Innovative features at an unfortunate high price

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (Verizon Wireless) is a better tablet now than the original Wi-Fi-only version was last year. Unfortunately, the cellular version's price is even higher.

Here's the left side speaker grille and more shiny metal.

Ports open!

Bright

The Note 10.1's bright screen is, well, bright. It also saturates colors fairly evenly, but has a slight green tint compared to other displays.

Flash!

LED-flash-supported back cameras are great, but sometimes (like in this case), the light they provide is a bit too oppressive.

Blue gray?

Don't get me wrong. Aesthetically, the contrast of the shiny silver and dark blue-gray works, but blue-gray? Since when is this a color in anything other than jeans?

The ports, yes, but also...

OK, I've shown this angle already, but I just really like this shot and didn't want you to miss it.

The hidden pen

This is where the S Pen rests while it contemplates its next conquest.

Out!

The S Pen is out and is taking on all comers. With Samsung's UI updates, the pen feels much better integrated with the interface, with logical and smart enhancements.
