The Ouya is a compact package smaller than its gamepad (pictures)

The Ouya is a small, cube-shaped video game console. It's so small, in fact, that its included controller practically dwarfs it.

Small

The Ouya has one of the smallest console footprints I've ever seen. The Android-based device connects to your TV and runs games specifically tailored to its included controller.

Looks like a 360...

The Ouya's controller looks like an Xbox 360's, but feels cheap and hollow in comparison.

Buttons

The Ouya's face buttons are fine, but they don't have the tactile springiness of the Xbox 360's. They have also been known to get stuck from time to time.

Squeaker

I've nicknamed the left analog stick on our unit "Squeaker," because, well, do I really need to spell it out?

D-pad

The directional pad feels imprecise although I've yet to actually try a one-on-one fighting game (the true test of any D-pad) on it.

Ugh

I really, really dislike the trigger buttons. Sure they're in the spot where you'd usually find trigger buttons on a controller, but they hardly feel like actual triggers.

Touch

The touch pad (located below the lights) is a neat idea, but using it to control the onscreen cursor is incredibly frustrating.

Batts

An AA battery (included) is located inside each handle.

Connect

HDMI, Micro-USB, USB, and Ethernet are the included ports.

Vents

These vents keep your Ouya from burning a squarish hole in your entertainment center.

Panel

The top panel can be removed after four screws are removed. Then the modding can begin...
