The HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE's sci-fi good looks (pictures)

True to the Droid Incredible franchise, the new $149.99 HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE packs a solid amount of smartphone features in an attractive yet compact size. On board is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and access to Verizon's 4G LTE network.

Measuring 4.8 inches tall by 2.4 inches wide by 0.46 inch thick, the Droid Incredible 4G LTE is compact but not as thin as other Android handsets. Seen here is the volume rocker on the phone's right side.

On the top edge of the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE is a power button (painted in Verizon red) and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The back side of the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE features the classic Droid Incredible raised battery cover. Its trapezoidal shape, unsymmetrical edges, and textured surface give the device a sci-fi feel.

Also on back is the Incredible's 8-megapixel camera and LED flash. You can see its lens sports a Verizon red outline.

Unlike the Droid Incredible phones before it, the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE lacks the distinctive red paint job under its battery cover.

Thankfully, the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE provides a microSD card expansion slot to add more storage space. You can also access it and the SIM card without removing the battery.

The HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE's left side contains the phone's Micro-USB port to both charge and link the device to a PC.

The HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE doesn't offer much in the way of alternate text-entry methods but its software keyboard, powered by HTC Sense, is responsive and accurate.

Running HTC's Sense 4 UI on top of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE offers seven customizable home screens. They're populated with some useful widgets out of the box like this one for toggling often-used system settings.

Like many other phone makers these days, the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE provides access to a branded video store. Called HTC Watch, the storefront contains a selection of movies and TV shows to rent and buy.

As a modern Android phone, the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE comes equipped with a wide range of Google services and software. You can also download from a large selection of third-party apps from the Google Play store.

Part of the trade-off with the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE's more compact and pocket-friendly size is its comparatively small screen. At 4 inches, the qHD resolution (960 x 540 pixels) isn't as sharp or as high contrast as other phone's displays.
