The Motorola Droid Razr HD
Today in New York, Motorola unveiled its updated line of Droid Razr devices, which includes the Droid Razr HD (above) and the Maxx HD.
The former is the slightly thinner of the two. It has a 4.7-inch HD screen (with 1,280x768-pixel resolution) and runs on Android 4.0, though it will be upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean by the end of this year. Both devices can be preordered today and will be available before the holiday season.
Looking through the camera
The Droid Razr HD has an 8-megapixel camera that's capable of recording 1080p video. It also has 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and an expandable microSD card slot.
Powering up
Powering the Razr HD is a 2,530mAh battery, which translates to 16 hours of reported talk time. The original Droid Razr had a 1,780mAh battery.
Looking thin
The Motorola Droid Razr HD ships with Chrome pre-installed, and has a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor inside.
The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD
The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD is thicker in profile, to house its whopping 3,300mAh battery.
The popular Kevlar back
All the new Droid devices, including the Maxx HD, sport the familiar Kevlar back plate.
8-megapixel camera
Just like the Razr HD, the Maxx HD is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera capable of shooting 1080p HD.
Shipping with Android 4.0
The Razr Maxx HD natively runs with Android 4.0, but will be upgradable to 4.1 Jelly Bean, later this year. Though it has the same CPU, 1GB of RAM, and microSD card slot, it has a smaller amount of storage (16GB instead of 32GB) than its Razr counterpart.
