The Asus PB278Q swivels from the bottom (pictures)

The Asus PB278Q is a decent-looking monitor with a beautiful screen and a swivel mechanism on the bottom of its foot stand. You have been warned.

Another one

Yet another 27-inch extreme-definition monitor, the Asus PB278Q offers a useful array of features at a price lower than most monitors sporting the 2,560x1,440-pixel resolution.

The angle

The PB278Q uses a PLS panel, which rivals IPS panels in clarity, viewing angle, and speed.

Purty

The PB278Q's 2,560x1,440-pixel resolution provides a more than suitable staging ground for PC games.

Connecting

Connections from top to bottom: headphone jack, audio-in, HDMI, DVI, VGA, and DisplayPort.

The OSD array

Make all your dreams come true with this useful life customization array. Wait, no. It only allows you to customize your monitor's screen. Sorry.

Big stand

That's some stand, huh? Asus apparently wants to ensure its monitors' stability and then some. It's just too bad about the swivel mechanism...

Swivel

I don't like the swivel implementation. It works, but it keeps the monitor from being truly stable and when in use, rotates the entire chassis, instead of just the screen.
