No
The Asus Memo Pad ME172V looks like the bizarro version of the Nexus 7, and given its performance issues, acts like it as well. The screen has a low resolution, a narrow viewing angle, and unstable performance. It'll only set you back $140 to $150, but it's ultimately not worth its issues.
Vs.
It's difficult to see much a difference in screen quality between the Nexus 7 (left) and Memo Pad (right) in this pic, but trust me: in person, it's readily apparent.
Bottom edge
Possibly the Memo Pad's only saving grace (beyond its price) is the small microSD slot on the right there.
Left?
It may seem strange, but having these on the left edge of a tablet just feels weird.
Bumpy
I really don't like the way this bumpy texture feels on my fingers. It makes me realize just how much the Nexus 7 nailed it in comfort.
Angry and sluggish
Angry Birds Star Wars: Not the most taxing game in the world, yet on the Memo Pad, its sluggishness can't go unnoticed.
