The Acer A200's awesomely grippy backside (photos)

The Acer A200. A tablet with a backside I had a hard time letting go of.

Not too exciting

Well, it's a tablet. While not the most exciting design in the world, the Acer Iconia Tab A200 has a bit more visual flair than the Acer A500 from 2011.

Ports-a-plenty

From left to right we have the power/lock button, a headphone jack, Micro-USB, full USB, a microSD card slot, and a reset pinhole.

Closed

With the memory door closed, you'll be treated to exciting views like this.

Vert

In the lower-right corner is the wall charger input. That blurry, green circle in the bottom middle of the screen is the Acer ring: your doorway to livening things up later.

Getting in there

More of that secret door! Seriously, I love tablets with secret doors. A world of awesome possibilities awaits!

Grippy

Unfortunately, there's no memory slot door here to keep things exciting, but there is a nice grip-tastic gray backside. On the top left and right corners are the speaker holes.

More grippy

Not much going on here, except that awesome grippy backside. Hmmm, how many times do I have to mention "grippy backsides" before it gets creepy?

Close-up

I'm not sure exactly why I like this shot of the rotation lock and volume rocker, but I do. Sometimes, you just like something.

...you see the ring.

Acer Ring is a bookmark hub/app shortcut that adds an extra step in accessing your favorite apps!

Always take the shortcut

From the lock screen, one of four customizable shortcuts can be accessed. Also, a giant thumb takes control of the situation.
