Technics makes a hi-fi comeback at IFA 2014

This year at IFA in Berlin Panasonic unveiled new Technics hi-fi products - the first in six years.

The new gear represents the first new hi-fi products under the Technics name in six years. The Technics brand was once a fixture of the European audio scene, most frequently spied on DJ decks or on massive sound systems.

First up is the new R1 Reference class that includes the SU-R1 networked music player with a built-in pre amplifier,  the SE-R1 power amp, and the SB-R1 speaker system.

The second offering is the flagship C700 Series that ubckydes the SB-C700 speakers, the SL-C700 CD player, the ST-C700 network audio player, and the SU-C700 integrated amp.

Outputs include Technics Digital Link AES/EBU XLR, S/PDIF coaxial, TosLink optical as well as analog XLR and RCA line out. Of course, you can also connect to the headphone output as well for more private listening.
