Samsung's U32D970Q is a 31.5-inch behemoth that offers a 3,840-by-2,160-pixel resolution (4K). At $2,000, it's aimed squarely at professionals who demand color accuracy.
While large, the LED-backlit, PLS display isn't actually all that thick, and swivels easily on its stand.
The monitor also supports VESA mounts -- just peel off the back panel to get to the mounting bracket.
There are a pair of USB ports right on the back.
The rest of the input ports are nestled underneath the display. They include a pair of USB 3.0 ports, two DisplayPort jacks, an HDMI port, and a dual-DVI port. There's also an audio-out jack, if you'd like to connect speakers or headphones.
The monitor's controls are raised buttons running along the bottom of the display and are readily accessible.
The monitor offers quite a few features, including a number of customizable color profiles. The most interesting is arguably the ability to split the display into two or four distinct zones with unique input sources, for comparing images in different color profiles or for multitasking.
