Typo for iPad Air
The Typo for iPad Air is a keyboard case for the iPad Air and iPad Air 2. It has comfortable, full-sized keys and a flexible hinge, but the features it offers don't match the $189 price tag.
The Typo's full-sized keys are wide, and fairly comfortable to type on. They're also a bit shallow, but that's expected from a keyboard this thin. Magnets keep the keyboard connected to the rest of the case.
Dedicated iOS shortcut keys give you quick access to the home button, Spotlight search, and media controls.
Some concessions were made for size, and some punctuation and function keys around the keyboard can feel quite cramped.
The keyboard connects to the iPad Air via Bluetooth, activated by a switch on the lower right side.
The thick, protective case can make it awkward to press the volume controls.
The friction hinge is sturdy and flexible, twisting readily into whatever angle you'd like.
The case is thick, and will add quite a bit of girth to the otherwise solid iPad Air.
The Typo lacks backlit keys, but if its price were inline with similarly equipped competitors it would be less expensive.
