It hasn't exactly been a busy year for tablets, however Mobile World Congress 2015 is here to change that.
Click through the slideshow to acquiant yourself with the latest tablets from Sony, HP, Lenovo and more.
Sony Xperia Z4
Meet the Xperia Z4 Tablet, Sony's latest top-end 10-inch slate. In addition to being completely waterproof, the Z4 Tablet has an incredibly light and skinny body, a 2K resolution display and the latest Android Lollipop software.
There's no word yet on exactly how much it'll cost, but don't expect it to come cheap. It's due to hit shelves globally later this year.
Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 3
Alcatel tablets usually offer shiny plastic builds and rock bottom pricing. The 7- and 8-inch OneTouch Pixi 3 are no different.
The pair only offer only 4GB of internal storage, and though that can be expanded via microSD card slot, it's still a criminally small amount. This time the price cut may not be worth it.
HP Pro Slate 8
Great design is an easy way to catch the eyes of prospective buyers and the HP Pro Slate 8 hits the nail on the head. It's an enterprise tablet with chic look and an ultrasound stylus.
Lenovo IdeaPad Miix 300
It's easier than ever to find your perfect tablet, even within a constrained budget. The Lenovo IdeaPad Miix 300 is the latest to exemplify this trend. Running Windows 8.1, it starts at a paltry $149, which works out to less than £100 or AU$190 directly converted.
Don't get ahead of yourself just yet though -- the affordable 8-inch Windows tablet won't be available in stores until summer.
Lenovo Tab 2 A8
The main attraction to the Lenovo Tab 2 A8 is its pure Android operating system. Running the latest version, Lollipop 5.0, the 8-inch tablet is one of the cheapest models to offer the Google OS.
Here, here for Haier
Not satisfied with releasing just one tablet, Haier dropped three new models at MWC 2015.
Keeping up with the low-price wars, the appliance giant competitively priced the attractive trio. There's two Windows 8.1 devices and one super-skinny Android slate.
Huawei MediaPad X2
The 7-inch Huawei MediaPad X2 is technically considered a tablet and phone hybrid due to its super-sized screen and cellular capabilities. However, it's on the large side for a phablet, placing it in tablet territory.
It sports a sleek design with a sharp screen and a promisingly powerful chipset. If it sounds too good to be true, you may be right. Pricing and availability -- potential deal breakers -- have yet to be revealed.
Silent Circle Blackphone+
If you're a private person, this tablet is the one for you. Security firm Silent Circle debuted a prototype of the Blackphone+ at MWC 2015, a 7-inch tablet made intentionally hard to hack.
Nokia N1
If you live in China, you're one of the lucky few who can actually buy this tablet. The Nokia N1 is an impressively stunning Android tablet. Its main appeal is its sleek iPad-like aesthetic and surprisingly affordable price.
Jolla Tablet
If you're not a fan of Apple or Google operating systems, Jolla offers a refreshing alternative. The 8-inch tablet runs the gesture-heavy Sailfish OS, which features an uncluttered design and tons of easy access to your favorite activities. The Jolla Tablet should ship to early Kickstarter backers soon.
