Alcatel One Touch and Mozilla have teamed up to offer the first Firefox OS-based tablet, the Alcatel One Touch Fire 7. The 7-inch slate faces fierce competition, with many great small tablets already available, but its rock bottom pricing sets it apart from the competition. Adding a phablet to its repertoire, HP announced the Slate 7 VoiceTab. The 7-incher can make and receive calls, as well browse online. It features swappable back covers and is expected to hit stores in May. For more info on the HP Slate 7 VoiceTab click here.

This Huawei Android device is a phablet in denial; the 7-incher houses a SIM card slot that provides 4G LTE data as well voice and text capabilities -- like a phone. Despite its identity crisis, the Huawei MediaPad X1 is still an interesting and appealing option for phablet followers. To read more click here.

The 8-inch form factor is a rising star for small tablets, but will it work as a phablet? The Huawai MediaTab M1 hopes so. It's a meek release, with mediocre specs and a run-of-the-mill design, however, its 8-inch phablet status is the stand out feature for the Huawei MWC 2014 release.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ rocks a new 1,920x1,200 full-HD resolution screen, up from the previous model's 1,280x800 display but keeps the unique design and long-lasting battery. For more information on the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ click here.

Nvidia's revamped Tegra Note isn't a big upgrade from last year's, but it does pack a new Tegra i500 modem, $299 price tag, and LTE capabilities. Panasonic's Toughpad FZ-X1 Android tablet is a small but rugged powerhouse. Aside from speedy internals, the 5-inch slate can take a drop from 3 meters and survive underwater for 30 minutes at a maximum depth of 1.5 meters. Read more about the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-X1 here.
