With the T-Mobile MyTouch 3G, the Google Android operating system gets a much-needed boost. A few complaints remain, and some people may bemoan the lack of a physical keyboard, but we approve of its eye-catching design and interface, improved features, and satisfying performance.

Essentially a rebranded HTC Magic, the MyTouch has a sleek profile.
The expansive touch screen has an appealing resolution. The pop-up menu offers shortcuts for customizing the icons.
MyTouch's volume rocker sits on its left spine. It's smaller than we'd like, but you can find it when you're on a call.
The MyTouch's main menu is simple and intuitive.
The virtual keyboard has a spacious design. We could text quickly and the phone has a comfortable feel in the hand.
The MyTouch's physical controls have a user-friendly design. You can open the Google Search feature, access the main menu, and make calls.
We're not happy that HTC stuck with the non-standard headphone jacket.
The camera lens is on the MyTouch's rear side. The handset doesn't offer a flash or self-portrait mirror.
The MyTouch isn't small, but it travels well.
