Synology launches the DX510 NAS expansion unit, which adds five more hard drive bays to the DS710+ or the DS1010+ DiskStation NAS servers.

Synology's DX510 expansion unit has five hard drive bays to host up to 10TB of additional storage. It works with either the DS710+ or DS1010+ DiskStation NAS servers from Synology.
The DX510 connects to an NAS server via a proprietary eSATA cable that Synology says ensures a secure connection and maximizes the throughput speed between the two.
