Stigo L1e e-scooter will take you places
If you want to travel a short distance without a car, this foldable seated e-scooter from Estonia could be just the thing.
The electric-powered Stigo from Estonia is foldable electric scooter that you ride like a bike instead of standing up. It costs 1,700 euros, which converts to approximately $1,900, £1450 and AU$2,500 -- or you can pay S$2,000 in Singapore, where I tested it. There's no distributor yet in the US or Australia, but it can be shipped to the UK.
The Stigo L1e is surprisingly small and sports 12.5-inch wheels. It weighs around 13.5kg (about 30 lbs), which is what you'd expect from a typical folding bike.
When the Stigo's folded up, you can pull it along behind you like a golf bag.
The folded Stigo doesn't take up much space.
It's compact enough that you won't feel guilty for bringing it on a train or bus.
The 12.5-inch wheels use caliper brakes to stop.
A screen located below the handlebars displays your current speed and remaining battery.
You'll need to tap a key to unlock the Stigo, which means no unauthorized use!
