Star Wars and fashion collide at Singapore's 'Rogue One' gala

This week's gala premiere in Singapore of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" took a slightly different route than the norm. Instead of just getting the 501st Legion to stop by, Disney decided to add rouge to rogue in a fashion show for local designers inspired by Star Wars.

Elohim by Sabrina Goh's latest Star Wars-inspired "Equilibrium" collection features a blend of Light Side and Dark Side prints in chic-looking outfits that show off the inner elegance of your Princess Amidala -- and make the fangirl in you scream as you rock out to this R2-D2 top.

If you're leaning toward the Dark Side, why not go out in style with your very own Death Star clutch that probably doubles as a weapon. Planet-destroying lasers not included.

If your name is Leia and you're big bad daddy's favorite, why not do him proud by plastering his fearsome visage on your chest? You'd easily be able to keep those scruffy looking nerf herders at arm's length thanks to his ever unsmiling face (or lack thereof).

In case you're wondering, that storm trooper helmet isn't a clutch.

Nothing makes a bigger or more-aggressive statement than an outfit with prints of the Empire's super-weapon. You could also be hinting you're really rich since each Death Star is easily worth $852 quadrillion. That's a lot of zeroes, if you're wondering.

Here's one more look at the fashion of Elohim by Sabrina Goh.

The Star Wars threads of local menswear designer Biro Company are a little less obvious compared with the previous collection. But as any good Imperial officer knows, looking good off duty isn't easy.

"Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father."

"He told me enough! He told me you killed him!"

"No. I dressed him up really good."

"YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS."

Going casual as a Jedi is a lot harder than it seems thanks to the Jedi Temple's restrictive dress code. I mean really, did you see how terrible Obi-Wan looked compared with Anakin, who probably didn't give a damn and chose a much cooler black outfit?

But fret not. Going casual is a lot easier with this ensemble.

It wouldn't be a Star Wars premiere if no body parts went flying, so here's a demo fight from Singaporean lightsaber fighting group Fightsaber, likely wielding blades from Sabermach.

Wrapping up the event were cosplayers who took to the stage alongside the models.
