At Star Wars Celebration in Florida, fans get an early look at future Star Wars toys, check out cars reimagined with a galactic twist and take a bite out of BB-8.

Want to go beyond the movies? Several books are coming out this year that will flesh out the overall Star Wars mythos. These include a "Phasma" book about Captain Phasma set for this September, and "Star Wars Battlefront II Inferno Squad," which will serve as a prologue of sorts for the matching video game.

40 Star Wars stories

"Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View" is an anthology of 40 stories in the Star Wars galaxy. This book, due out in October, will be part of an effort to raise money for the nonprofit First Book, which provides books and learning materials to educators and organizations that help kids.
