Spider Holster SpiderPro Hand Strap helps you get a grip (pictures)

The new SpiderPro Hand Strap helps you get -- and keep -- a good grip on your camera.

Hand straps are great for extra support and security, but many of them get in the way. Spider Holster designed its one to get out of the way.

Universal attachment

A flat loop of thin but extremely durable proprietary material lets you connect the strap to your camera body between any quick-release plate you use on the bottom of your camera. Or you can opt to use the included 1/4-20 screw, one of Spider Holster's pins for its holsters or a sling camera strap.

Attaches to eyelets or body

The top of the strap can either be fed through the neck-strap connector built into the body or to a neck-strap eyelet. A small tab of the same tough proprietary material is fed through the eyelet, which was a pain to get in.

If neither of those are options for your camera, Spider includes a small eyelet that can be used instead.

Wrist strap included

The snaps on the outside of the strap allow you to attach a second wrist strap for additional support. Plus, it lets you relax your grip when you're not up and shooting.

Grab and shoot

Whether you just want to quickly pick up your camera and start shooting or sliding it into or out of a Spider Holster, the S-curve strap gets out of your way.

Easier access

That S-curve also makes it easy to access the battery compartment (though using a plate might prevent this anyway) and the memory card slots.

Feeding the strap through can be tricky, but the connection is secure.

Move it on down

The shape of memory-foam-lined strap puts it toward the bottom of your hand, instead of on or directly behind your knuckles, and closer to your wrist for better support.

You get what you pay for

The Spider Holster SpiderPro Hand Strap is available now for $65 (about £45 or AU$85). If you're just looking for a little extra support, there are definitely cheaper options out there. But between the design and quality materials here, anyone spending hours with a camera in their hand should be satisfied.
