Sony's KDL-NX720 series is the company's least expensive to feature the company's sleek Monolithic design, which now incorporates Gorilla Glass.

KDL-EX720 series

The EX720 series, available in February, has an edge-lit LED backlight (no local dimming) and is Sony's least expensive series with 3D. Here are the specs:

  • Screen sizes include 60-inch (KDL-60EX720, which is available in April), 55-inch (KDL-55EX720), 46-inch (KDL-46EX720), 40-inch (KDL-40EX720), and 32-inch (KDL-32EX720)

KDL-EX620 series

The EX620 series, also shipping in Februuary, loses 3D and 240Hz but is otherwise similar to the EX720.

KDL-EX520 series

The EX520 models (February) don't offer 120Hz or dejudder, but are otherwise similar to the EX620. They're also Sony's least expensive line to get Internet video functionality and an LED backlight.

One of two series with a standard, CCFL backlight as opposed to LED, the BX420 (February) models count 1080p resolution as their sole step-up feature.
