Sony G Master lens photo samples

Sony is launching its first pro full-frame E-mount lenses, dubbed G Master, with two lenses coming in March: the FE 24-70mm f2.8 GM ($2,200) and the 85mm f1.4 GM ($1,800). They'll be followed in May by the long-awaited FE 70-200mm f2.8 GM OSS (price TBD).

At a Sony press event in NYC, we got to shoot with the first two lenses on the A7R II.

ISO 200, 1/30 sec. Raw exposure adjusted because I didn't realize the camera was set to -1 EV.

Details in the JPEGs looked really jaggy and smeary at ISO 1600, while the raw versions looked far more naturally sharp.
