Sony's Cyber-shot DSC-TX9 is the company's latest high-end ultracompact featuring the ability to capture 3D panorama images with a sweep of the camera. It does other stuff, too, but that's its big selling point.
On back is a 3.5-inch 921K-dot resolution touch-screen LCD.
The TX9 measures less than 0.7 inch thick.
That's it for buttons on the TX9.
It comes in red, too. Or pink. I can't tell.
Sony includes a dock to make regularly connecting to your HDTV via HDMI easy. My guess is, though, it won't recharge the camera even with the purchase of an AC adapter.
In case you were wondering what the experience would be like if you took a 3D picture and viewed it on your 3D HDTV, this isn't it. Going by the demo we got, it's pretty cool, though. Of course you'll have to have the TV or a compatible computer and the glasses to actually enjoy photos in 3D. I'm sure Sony would like you to buy and use the camera now and then when you buy a 3D HDTV you'll be set for content.
