The RX100 II adds some heavy-duty features but keeps the compactness of the RX100.

With the exception of the hot shoe bump -- though somehow the RX100 II and RX100 are the same height -- the camera looks the same from the front. It's got the same lens as well.

Tilting LCD

One of the features I miss most on the RX100 is a tilting LCD.

The RX100 II adds Sony's Multi-Interface hot shoe, which can be used to add an electronic viewfinder or microphone as well as an off-camera flash.
