SDCC 2017 prepares to conquer downtown San Diego
Comic-Con International is about to begin and downtown San Diego is transforming into a paradise of pop culture to kick off preview night.
The Convention Center
The CNET team is on the ground in downtown San Diego to bring you the latest news from one of the biggest celebrations of pop culture.

FXhibition
From "The Strain" to "Archer," the FX exhibit outside the Convention Center entertains attendees.
Celebrating pop culture
You can see the SDCC banners invading the streets of downtown San Diego.
'Midnight, Texas'
It looks like the "Midnight, Texas" exhibition is almost ready for the show.
What a poster!
The Hilton tends to be a very busy venue during SDCC and this time around it dressed up with a massive "Legion" poster for the occasion.
Vikings
Friday night will be exciting for "Vikings" fans because we will witness a Viking funeral.
Petco Park
The Petco Park stadium is all dressed up for Comic-Con 2017.
The Defenders
We are hoping to see some surprises from the Netflix-Marvel show "The Defenders."
A chapel?
Yes, stay tuned for pictures and video of a fantastically colorful wedding or two.
Inside the Convention Center
Attendees will go up and down these stairs a lot, but picture a ton more people and cosplay! This is the quiet before the storm.
