Lab work underway

Ara Kooser, a doctoral student in biology at the University of New Mexico, tests out the new Scottevest lab coat in his lab. The modernized coat comes stocked with over a dozen interior and exterior pockets to hold cell phones, tablets, prescription pads, gloves and all the other gear needed to operate efficiently in a lab or while working with patients.

The lab coat is available in both men's and women's styles.

Cell phone pocket gets a workout

Geomicrobiology doctoral student Ara Kooser took the new Scottevest lab coat around the lab for a spin. The coat comes stuffed with tons of pockets to hold tech gear and other supplies for scientists and doctors. Kooser found the cell phone pockets to be especially handy.

Pass-through pockets are one of the subtle design improvements Scottevest made to a lab coat. This allows access to interior pockets without having to unbutton the coat. The interior pockets are large and can accommodate tablets and notepads.
