On the first official day of CES, our team of writers and photographers scoured the show floor looking for interesting new tech. Here are some pictures of what we saw.

As part of its high-end line of Grand Series handsets, ZTE today unveiled the Grand S. The phone is equipped with a 5-inch full HD touch screen, which features 440ppi and is made out of Corning Gorilla Glass. Next Big Thing
In CNET's popular Next Big Thing SuperSession, Brian Cooley, Molly Wood, Fared Adib, Sheryl Connelly, James Fishler, and Mark Cuban (from left) discuss the implications of a connected world.
CNET's Molly Wood, with the help of a trained special effects professional, pull a poor, unsuspecting gadget out of a bucket of liquid nitrogen. In a live taping of the Always On show, Molly and Brian Tong put all manner of gadgets through extreme endurance tests, including baking them in an oven, dunking them in a fish tank, dropping them from about 9 feet, and freezing them in liquid nitrogen.
CNET's Brian Tong and cool guy LL Cool J hang out at the CNET booth after an onstage interview.
Consumer Electronics Association Ambassador Felicia Day (left) bonds with CNET editors Jeff Bakalar (center) and Justin Yu over Skyrim and Far Cry. Watch the whole episode of The 404 filmed at the CNET stage here.
