As you can see, the Tab Active has been given a rugged, industrial-looking frame.

We like these exposed screws in the back of the tablet. We're not sure what their practical purpose is, but they certainly reinforce the 'rugged' look. The Tab Active is dust resistant and can handle water, too. Samsung says you shouldn't hold it underwater, but it should be okay in the rain.

That's a 3.1-megapixel camera.

From this angle you can clearly see the tyre-tread design around the edge of the tablet.

It feels beefy, but isn't too thick at 9.75mm thick.

This tablet is aimed directly at business types for now, but as there aren't many options if you want a tablet that can handle the elements, here's hoping a consumer version is released soon.
