Samsung has finally taken the plastic wrapping off its Galaxy S4 smart phone -- click through the photos above to ogle the company's massive new mobile from every angle.

So what's new in Samsung's next flagship? First off you get a 5-inch, 1080p screen that uses HD Super AMOLED display tech, and a slimmer bezel meaning you'll be looking at more screen and less boring plastic.

Around the back there's a 13-megapixel camera, while software treats on the phone itself let you do things like capture a multi-stage action shot, or remove people from photos -- ideal if you've fallen out with one of your friends.

Beneath the bonnet there's a quad-core processor, though certain regions will be treated to Samsung's terrifying Exynos 5 octa-core processor. LTE capability is also on board, so 4G is most definitely on the cards.

The design itself is broadly similar to that of the Galaxy S3, but it's thinner and lighter, despite being larger overall.

The S4 is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, though Samsung has stuck its own TouchWiz interface on top of Google's own operating system, as well as adding loads of own-brand apps.

Chief among those are eye-tracking features that do things like pause video automatically when you look away, and hovering gestures that let you control on-screen action without making contact with the screen itself.

Is the Galaxy S4 everything you were hoping for? Let me know in the comments, or on our Facebook wall.
