MetroPCS indulges in 4G
MetroPCS has finally doubled the number of 4G choices for its customers. The Samsung Galaxy Indulge also happens to be the carrier's first 4G smartphone. It runs Android 2.2 Froyo.
Specs
The specs are midrange for a smartphone--they're lower than on other premium Galaxy S phones, but solid all around with a nice screen and Samsung's TouchWiz interface. Still, it also lacks some features, like a mobile hot spot.
QWERTY keyboard
The buttons on the slide-out QWERTY keyboard were comfortable and responsive, though we would have moved the placement of the Function button.
Camera
At 3.2 megapixels, the camera is better than some, but not as advanced as others in the Galaxy lineup. The photos aren't art, but they're fine for capturing the moment.
Profile view
The keyboard adds some girth to the Indulge, but it never felt too bulky.
