Double freezer doors

The original Family Hub featured a distinctive, four-door design that split the freezer compartment in two. Some of the new models abandon this design in favor of more traditional drawer-style freezer compartments.

French doors

Those French door models come in both three- and four-door builds. All of them feature the same smart features as before.

Plenty of space inside for groceries, too.

Cameras in the door

Like existing Family Hub fridges, the new models all have cameras hidden inside that snap pictures of your groceries whenever you shut the door. This lets you view the inside of your fridge while you're out shopping for groceries.

Track ingredients

You can also view the camera feed on the fridge itself, where you can drag little timers over top of your groceries to track when they'll expire.

Touchscreen

The Tizen touchscreen come with a variety of pre-loaded fridge apps that'll let you manage a family calendar, stream music from Pandora or Spotify, look up recipes and cooking videos, and more.

Like a big tablet

You'll use that touchscreen sort of like a ginormous tablet, complete with multi-tasking.

Live app tiles

The app icons on the homescreen function like Live Tiles, displaying current, relevant info and controls for things like music and temperature.

Another look inside

Like last year's models, the new Family Hubs offer plenty of storage space for groceries.

New entry-level price

The cheapest of the new Family Hubs is the plain stainless steel version of the French three-door model. It'll start at about $3,200, but we've already spotted it discounted by about $1,000 at Home Depot. That's thousands less than last year's Family Hubs debuted at.

Extra drawer

The French four-door models cost a little more, and add an extra, temperature-adjustable drawer in between the refrigerator and freezer.
