RUF's new CTR is a 225 mph throwback to the Yellowbird
It's built almost entirely of carbon fiber, and it'll go like a bat out of hell. RUF couldn't have made a more desirable car.
The RUF CTR might look like it came from 1993, but it's brand new.
The new CTR is supposed to be a throwback to the CTR of old, which carried the nickname Yellowbird.
It's built on its own, bespoke carbon fiber chassis, and the body is carbon fiber, as well.
The engine is a Mezger-type flat six, putting out 700 horsepower and 649 pound-feet of torque.
It'll hit 62 mph in less than 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 225 mph.
Only 30 will be built.
Each one is expected to cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $750,000 to $800,000.
