Risky design highlights the Mercedes-AMG GLE43 Coupe

Crossovers are selling like hotcakes in America, but Mercedes-AMG isn't content to be like everyone else. 

So, they've given us the 2017 Mercedes-AMG GLE43 Coupe. Yep, it's a crossover with coupe styling. You either love it or hate it. 

Regardless of its looks, there are plenty of luxury features like available massaging front seats and heated and cooled cup holders. 

Mercedes is one of the best when it comes to driver's aids and the GLE43 is no different. An excellent adaptive cruise control system is paired with Steering Pilot to keep the car centered in the lane. 

There is also Active Blind Spot Assist, which can apply the brakes if a lateral collision is imminent.

The AMG GLE43 sports a 3-liter twin-turbo V6 under the hood, putting out 362 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque.

Those rear tires are about a foot wide. It's a little bit of overkill for the amount of horsepower put out, but hey... it looks good.

The GLE43 runs the COMAND infotainment system. It's complicated and difficult to use, but does support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 8-inch color display looks a bit like an afterthought and it is not a touchscreen, so get used to using a dial on the center armrest.
