Samsung Memoir

Earlier this month, Bonnie Cha shared the favorite smartphones as chosen by CNET readers. And now, just to make sure no one is left out, I offer your favorite handsets from the past year that aren't smartphones. These models, which are presented in no particular order, may do a lot more than just make calls, but they don't have third-party operating system. And they all can say that they're loved by you. To be on this list the device must have a user rating of at least 3.5 stars.

The bottom line: If you don't mind the price, the Samsung Memoir lives up to its promise as a top-notch camera phone.

Samsung Alias 2

The bottom line: The Samsung Alias 2 is an inventive update to Samsung's previous messaging phone. Provided you can afford it, and learn how to use it, it's a powerful messaging device with reliable performance.
