Razer Junglecat tries to solve the mobile controller problem
It uses a Joy Con-like split design to attach to phones.

The Junglecat puts control pads on either side of your phone and connects via Bluetooth. Initially, at least, it will only attach to specific models since it requires a special case that comes bundled with it: the Razer Phone 2 (natch), Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus and Galaxy Note 9 (plus the Huawei P30 Pro, which sells outside the US).
