Porsche Cayenne blasts past tow rating, pulls Air France Airbus A380
In doing so, the Porsche Cayenne S Diesel picked up a Guinness World Record. Nice!
Well, that's certainly one way to pick up a world record.
This 2017 Porsche Cayenne S Diesel earned the Guinness World Record for the heaviest tow by a production vehicle.
This Air France Airbus A380 weighs roughly 628,000 pounds.
The Cayenne has a tow rating around 7,500 pounds.
The previous record holder towed just -- "just" -- 170 metric tons (about 375,000 pounds), while this plane weighs about 285. Hot damn.
You probably shouldn't try this at home, especially if you don't own the Airbus A380 in question.
The Porsche towed it using only a special attachment to connect the plane to its standard tow bar.
