Pioneer N-30 (photos)
As the first "affordable" hi-fi streamer, the Pioneer N-30 puts on a good performance, but the controls could be so much easier to use.
Overview
The Pioneer N-30 is a network music player that supports most download formats, but it doesn't support streaming services. It comes in an attractive case, but its 2.5-inch screen is a concern, and its small size is something the smartphone control app doesn't quite make up for.
Sound quality, on the other hand, is a cut above entry-level players like the Logitech Squeezebox Touch, yet $499 is still a high price to pay.
