Pictures of the Week (slideshow)
From Jennifer Lopez to Apple's Tim Cook to the biggest panorama ever, here are some of the best tech pictures of the week.
Triton unmanned aircraft
The Navy this week showed us a glimpse of a drone which might see us, but that we will likely never see. The Triton unmanned aircraft system completed its first flight on May 22, 2013. The surveillance drone is designed to fly up to 24 hours at a time at altitudes of more than 10 miles, allowing coverage out to 2,000 nautical miles.
The world's largest panorama
NASA unveiled a gigantic picture this week -- the Landsat satellite has captured a photograph of a 9,000-kilometer swathe of land in an unbroken panorama.
JLo goes mobile
Jennifer Lopez, the self-described "mobile neophyte," and Verizon Wireless COO Marni Walden answered a few of CNET's questions on why the entertainer decided to plunge into the wireless retail business.
Microsoft's Xbox One
Microsoft this week unveiled the next generation of Xbox: the Xbox One, a larger, sleeker gaming system that looks like -- and doubles as -- AV equipment. The controller and Kinect unit are redesigned, too, and the always-on system heavily integrates TV and movie viewing into the multimedia mix.
Tim Cook's testimony
Apple CEO Timothy Cook testified before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee's Investigations Subcommittee about the company's offshore profit shifting and tax avoidance in the Dirksen Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., on May 21, 2013.
A congressional report has said that Apple has shifted at least $74 billion from the reach of the Internal Revenue Service between 2009 and 2012 using a complex -- yet legal -- loophole squirming system of international subsidiaries and tax avoidance efforts.
