Photos: The new Microsoft tablet
Photos and info on a new Microsoft dual-screen tablet have been leaked.
Microsoft's Courier tablet revealed
Instead of a single-screen tablet, the Courier concept is a dual-screen "booklet."
The Courier closes up when not in use, and opens like a book to reveal facing screens.
Unlike current black-and-white e-books, the Courier utilizes a color touchscreen.
A 3-megapixel camera is embedded on the tablet's outside "cover."
One of the screens has status lights on the edge, so you don't need to open the booklet.
The bottom of the "closed" Courier is shown here.
While it appears to accept hand gestures (based on the leaked UI video), a stylus is also used for data input.
Clearly, the Courier development team appears to be fond of Spike Lee.
A frame from the leaked UI video demo shows how the Courier uses the look and feel of a paper notebook.
Finger navigation can be used on the touchscreen, as shown here.
The stylus is again shown as the preferred method for data entry.
