When closed, the Slide doesn't look very similar to the Sidekick LX.
The display slides open to reveal the full keyboard. The keys have a different design than on the LX, but they're still easy to use.
On its rear side, the Slide has the camera lens and a prominent Moto logo.
Unlike the LX's swivel display, the Slide's screen does not tilt forward in the open position.
The Nokia 5310 (right) and 5610 Xpress Music both sport sharp designs.
The 5610 has a slider design while the 5310 is a thin candy bar model.
The Motorola U9 has rounded edges like the former Moto Pebl. Behind its glossy front face is a hidden external display.
The U9 has a nontraditional hinge design where the front flap rests behind the rear flip when the phone is open.
On the inside, the U9 has flat keys and a somewhat small display.
Motorola's Razr2 V8 Luxury edition has a gold-plated interior.
Meanwhile the exterior has more gold plating.
And on its rear face, the Razr2 V8 has faux leather skin.
