This GoGear is a bit too bulky for one-handed operation, though it is very easy to use. Our one complaint is that the control pad feels a little cheap.
The player has a built-in mic for making voice recordings, and the side houses a nifty playlist button, a handy control that adds the currently playing song to an on-the-go playlist.
The GoGear SA6045 has a nice, 2.2-inch screen that makes it ideal for watching short video clips and browsing through photos. Too bad there's no album art support.
The top edge of the player houses the dedicated volume rocker--always a nice touch.
The latest line of Philips GoGear MP3 players is packed with features and not quite as pocketable as competing flash players.
The Philips GoGear SA6045 should still fit in most pockets, though it may not be the most comfortable in tight jeans.
You won't be able to conceal this player in the palm of your hand, but--good thing for this GoGear--an ultracompact body isn't all that matters in an MP3 player.
Lining the bottom of the GoGear SA6045, you'll find a standard mini USB port, the ever-handy hold switch, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There's also a reset hole, which can be used to restart the player if it freezes.
