Photos: Nokia 6700, 6303 Classic and N97

Sometimes the best phones aren't always the most complicated. Take the Nokia 6700 Classic, for example -- it's relatively simple but we love it

Some mobile phones look good but are a nightmare to use. That can't be said of the Nokia 6700 Classic (pictured). Inspired by the incredibly popular Nokia 6300, the 6700 may prove to be our favourite phone at the Mobile World Congress show. Its thin design and metal casing look superb but, best of all, it's easy to use.

It's good to see Nokia still cares about its users, while other manufacturers race towards ever more complicated handsets. That said, the 6700 isn't feature-deficient -- there's HSDPA, GPS and a 5-megapixel camera, all crammed into this chrome-clad beauty.

As you can see, the chrome finish goes all the way around the 6700, and perched at the top is a 5-megapixel snapper.

The 6700 is impressively thin. We love the way it feels to hold, and it fits really well in a pocket. You'll be able to pick up a 6700 in the next few months for free on a monthly contract, or for around £200 SIM-free.

The 6303 Classic is slightly less luxurious than the 6700. It's aimed at the mid-range market but retains the essence of the 6300 and 6700 -- it looks good and it's easy to use. The 6303's keypad is fantastic. It's possibly the best keypad we've used for predictive texting and dialling.

On the back of of the 6303, there's a 3.2-megapixel camera and metal cover. Even though it's not as expensive as the 6700, it still feels like a quality product.

From the side, you can see how small the 6303 is. It's an appealing phone that, in our opinion, will please many a pay-as-you-go customer. There's even a 3.5mm headphone jack. It will be available soon for around £100.

Last, but not least, is the N97. Our brief hands-on experience with it was pleasant enough and we look forward to testing it out further in the near future. The keypad is good for messaging and the screen seemed responsive but we're not sure about the cluttered interface.

On the back of the N97, you'll find a 5-megapixel camera, protected by a sliding cover.

The N97 isn't as thin as the 6700, but it does pack in many more features.

We saw this as we were leaving the Nokia stand. Behold the Nokia external battery pack, which lets you charge up your phone on the go when you've run out of juice -- very handy indeed.
