Designed for the North American market, the Sony Ericsson W380a features a thin flip-pone design in either purple (pictured here) or gray. The front of the device has external player controls, while the small display is hidden behind the front face when the backlighting is off.

It may be a bit late, but Sony Ericsson continues to make a play at the thin-phone craze. The W380a is 0.62 inch thick, which makes it one of the company's slimmest flip phones. The silver version is pictured here.

Inside the W380a features a fairly standard Sony Ericsson design with a 262,144-color display. Features include the Walkman music player, a speakerphone, stereo Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, an FM radio, and a memory-card slot. The W380a is triband (GSM 850/1800/1900) and supports EDGE data networks.

The Sony W890i is a thin (0.38 inch) candy-bar phone that's styled after the Sony Ericsson W880i. It has a similar display, navigation, controls, and color scheme (basic black), but thankfully the keypad buttons have been improved. The feature set is comparable with the W380a's, but the camera has a 3.2-megapixel resolution and you get a few more multimedia options. The W890i is a quadband (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) world phone, but it supports only European 3G networks.

The K660 is the latest addition to Sony Ericsson's Cybershot series. The candy-bar handset offers a 2-megapixel camera, a speakerphone, integrated Google Maps and Google Search, stereo Bluetooth, an expandable memory slot, a media player, and personal-organizer applications. The mobile comes in two color schemes, of which the lime-on-white version is pictured here.

The K660 also comes in a wine-on-black version, which we like a lot better. The K660 is a quadband (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) world phone.
