The Motorola Z9 is an attractive and well-constructed slider phone with a unique mahogany color.
The Z9 has a lovely 262,000-color screen and a spacious navigation array.
You don't need to open the Z9 to use the camera. The phone's main speaker sits at the bottom.
The Z9's side buttons, including the volume control and the music shortcut, offer tactile feedback.
The slim Z9 is just 0.54 inch thick.
The Z9's keypad and navigation buttons are flush but tiny silver bumps make them rather tactile. Our only complaint was that the keypad surface was slippery and reflective.
The Z9 slips easily into a pocket or bag.
The Z9 has a wonderful solid feel in the hand.
The lens for the 2-megapixel camera sits on the rear face of the Z9. There's a flash but no self-portrait mirror.
The Z9's microSD card slot sits behind the battery cover next to the SIM card.
